Black Bear prefers to control its programming in its rinks. Black Bear hires elite level coaches to run its clubs and teams wherever possible. Moreover, Black Bear uniquely is able to create its own schedules and leagues to support its existing teams. Through its ownership of multiple junior hockey teams, Black Bear actively promotes its players through the junior ranks, to college and then ultimately to the NHL. Currently, Black Bear Sports Group, Inc., owns and/or manages 31 hockey clubs ranging from Tier II (B, A, AA) and Tier I (AAA) to Juniors.
